Emerge Berkeley's in-person campus is located at 2515 Hillegass Ave, Berkeley, CA (a 10 minute walk from UC Berkeley). We are a church serving Berkeley and the surrounding communities.

Joining Emerge Berkeley online? Join from anywhere. Your living room, your car, your grandma's house. No matter where you are, you can participate in Emerge Berkeley.
Emerge Berkeley will be live on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram every weekend.

Where do I park?
We’re centrally located and just a 7-minute walk from UC Berkeley, so if you're nearby, walking is a great option! For those who need to drive, we offer limited onsite parking for people with limited mobility and families. Street parking is also available nearby. We’re happy to help guide you when you arrive—just look for the signs or ask one of our greeters!

Is there something for my child?
Yes! We offer age-appropriate ministries for Emerge Kids (ages 2 – 5th grade) and Epic Youth (6th–8th grade). Both ministries are designed to help your child feel valued, connected, and supported in their faith journey.
Is there a dress code?
Yes. Please come dressed 😊.
Seriously though, we’re pretty much a “come as you are” community. Whether you prefer casual or more formal attire, you’ll feel comfortable here. We believe what matters most is your heart and your presence, not what you're wearing.
What is a service like?
Services are typically 75-80 minutes long.
We usually begin with 2-3 songs, and we encourage everyone to participate. This is way better than just religious karaoke. As with most things in life, participating is better than spectating. We’ll have all song lyrics on the screen so you can easily follow along.
We also take about 30 seconds every service to engage with those around us. This is a meaningful part of our services as we connect with the humanity of those around us.
Afterward, a member of our teaching team will share an encouraging and hope-filled message that challenges us to rethink how we think about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
What if I have questions once I get there?
No problem! If you have any questions when you arrive, our friendly greeters will be happy to help. Just look for someone wearing a name tag, and they’ll guide you or point you to the right person. We want to make sure you feel at home and have everything you need!
Will I fit in?
You are exactly who we want here. At our church, we believe that every person has a unique story, and each story matters. Whether you're new to the area, returning to church after some time away, or exploring faith for the first time, we have a place for you. We offer a variety of groups, events, and ministries that allow people to connect in meaningful ways, and we’re committed to helping you find your place in our community. We believe that you belong here.
Will I be welcomed?
Absolutely! You don’t have to be perfect to be part of our community—we welcome people just as they are. Our church family is a place where everyone, regardless of their background, struggles, or past, can feel at home. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted with warmth and kindness. We’re excited to meet you and walk alongside you in your journey, whether you’re just beginning or returning to your faith.
What if it's been a really long time?
It doesn’t matter how long it's been—we're here for you. We understand that life can be complicated, and sometimes, you need time to figure things out. If it’s been years or just a season since you’ve been to church, we want you to know that you are welcome here without any judgment. We’re here to help you reconnect with God and with a community of people who understand that faith isn’t always easy. What if I think God is mad at or disappointed with me?
We believe that God’s love for you is unconditional, and there’s nothing that can separate you from His love. No matter what you’ve done or where you've been, God welcomes you with open arms. If you feel like you’ve made mistakes, we want you to know that God’s grace is bigger than your regrets. Our church is a place for healing, restoration, and renewal. Come as you are—God loves you just the way you are, and we do too.
The Connect Card
You’ll find a Connect Card on your seat when you arrive. During the service, we’ll also display a QR code on the screen if you prefer to fill it out digitally. On the card, you can share your contact info and any prayer requests you might have—our team would love to pray for you!
Once you’ve completed the card, feel free to bring it to the Welcome Team after the service for a free gift. If you're not ready to chat just yet, you can also drop the card in the ‘Tithes & Offerings’ box by the doors as you leave.
