L.E.A.D: Your Pathway to Spiritual Growth & Missional Living
Learn. Experience. Apply. Disciple.
At Emerge, we believe that following Jesus is not just about attending church — it's about growing, belonging, and being sent with purpose. That’s why we created LEAD, a discipleship journey designed to help you take your next steps in faith — wherever you are. Whether you're curious about Christianity, ready to grow, or called to lead, LEAD helps you live fully into God’s purpose for your life.
The early church was not built around programs but people—ordinary people transformed by an extraordinary gospel. Their journey reveals a Spirit-empowered rhythm that continues to shape how we grow, serve, and are sent today.
L.E.A.D is structured around the idea that spiritual growth is a journey, not a destination. This journey involves learning to follow Jesus more closely and discovering your unique purpose within His mission. Our pathway includes several stages, each designed to meet specific needs in your walk with Christ.
Pathway Overview
Emerge Pathway consists of five stages of spiritual formation: Explorer, Believer, Builder, Leader, and Multiplier. Each stage features a curated selection of courses designed to form Christlike character, cultivate spiritual disciplines, and equip you for ministry. To progress from one stage to the next, each participant must complete a minimum of two courses within their current stage.
This intentional pacing ensures each person experiences transformation, not just information.
STAGE 1: EXPLORER
Identity: Curious, Seeking, Asking
Theme Verse: “Come and see.” — John 1:46
Overview
Every journey of faith begins with a question. Whether someone is spiritually curious, returning after time away, or encountering Jesus for the first time, the Explorer stage provides a safe and welcoming space to wrestle with life’s biggest questions. At this stage, participants begin to encounter Jesus, hear His invitation to follow, and explore the foundational truths of the Christian story.
This is not about having all the answers—it’s about discovering the One who does. The Explorer stage emphasizes belonging before belief, relational connection over pressure, and spiritual exploration rooted in community.
Topics You’ll Discuss:
1. The core message of the Gospel (Creation, Fall, Redemption, Restoration)
2. Who Jesus is—His identity, life, death, resurrection, and relevance
3. What it means to follow Jesus in today’s complex world
STAGE 2: BELIEVER
Identity: Confessing, Following, Belonging
Theme Verse: “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him…” — Colossians 2:6-7
Overview
After responding to Jesus' invitation, the journey shifts from exploration to embracing faith. The Believer stage is where we begin to be rooted in the Gospel, grounded in spiritual practices, and anchored in biblical community. It is the stage of learning how to walk with Jesus daily—not just believing in Him, but building your life on His Word, His Spirit, and His people.
This season of growth is characterized by a deepening conviction, steady rhythms, and transformative relationships. Baptism, community, and discipleship become not just concepts, but a lifestyle.
Topics You’ll Discuss:
1. How to read and understand the Bible devotionally and accurately
2. What it means to live in a Christian community with mutual care and accountability
3. How to cultivate the spiritual habits of prayer, repentance, worship, and generosity
4. Why baptism is a foundational step in obedience and identity
STAGE 3: BUILDER
Identity: Growing, Healing, Serving
Theme Verse: “Like a wise builder who laid the foundation on the rock… everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice.” — Luke 6:47–48
Overview
The Builder stage is where discipleship becomes formation. It’s not just about what you believe—it’s about how Christ is being formed in you and through you. At this level, participants begin confronting areas of brokenness, discerning their gifts, and intentionally living into their God-designed purpose.
This stage focuses on helping followers of Jesus become emotionally healthy, spiritually mature, and practically equipped for service in the body of Christ. Builders don't just attend church—they begin to take ownership of their growth and impact in God’s kingdom.
Topics You’ll Discuss:
1. How to identify your spiritual gifts, strengths, and calling
2. What it means to live and serve out of wholeness—emotionally and spiritually
3. How to develop a theology of vocation and begin stewarding your talents
4. The role of serving the church and community with purpose and passion
STAGE 4: LEADER
Identity: Influencing, Mentoring, Leading
Theme Verse: “Whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant.” — Matthew 20:26
Overview
The Leader stage is where personal formation gives rise to spiritual influence. You’re not just growing for your own sake—you’re being shaped to serve others, cast vision, and model Christlike leadership in your home, church, and community.
This stage is for those ready to lead from the overflow of their relationship with Jesus. It’s not about a title—it’s about trust. Leadership at Emerge is rooted in servanthood, shaped by humility, and fueled by Spirit-empowered courage.
Topics You’ll Discuss:
1. How to shepherd people in discipleship and community life
2. Principles of team leadership, delegation, and healthy systems
3. Character development, decision-making, and spiritual authority
4. How to communicate vision, manage conflict, and build teams
STAGE 5: MULTIPLIER
Identity: Releasing, Reproducing, Sending
Theme Verse: “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” — John 20:21
Overview
The Multiplier stage is where the journey of discipleship comes full circle. Jesus doesn’t just call us to follow Him—He calls us to be sent. In this stage, you become a disciple-maker, a missional leader, and a catalyst for kingdom impact in your community and beyond.
Multipliers don’t just serve the church—they shape the world. Whether in neighborhoods, schools, businesses, or across cultures, you’ll be equipped to carry the gospel with wisdom, justice, and love into every sphere of life.
This isn’t just leadership within the church. It’s about becoming a faithful presence in the world—reproducing what God has done in you and empowering others to do the same.
Topics You’ll Discuss:
1. How to multiply disciples through mentoring and mission
2. Living with cultural intelligence and cross-cultural sensitivity
3. Vocational discernment and calling for life and ministry
4. Gospel-centered justice and compassionate advocacy
